Till about last week it used to run fine, but had a lag in power,and sometimes would miss a beat or two..but this week when i try to start it, it starts but dies within 30secs.. I checked and cleaned the carbs, jets and the petcock and the tank for grits. Adjusted the tappets. Even poured some petrol inside the valves when the pistion was at TDC, and could find no major leaks. It may have been adjusted there in the "pocket". If it jumps up to the "high ground" you'd end up too tight. The follower wear depends on the surface hardening, and as an Indian Domestic product there are no guarantees.
