Royal Enfield's One Ride in the U.S. Sunday, April 8, 2018

Royal Enfield wants you to ride along this Sunday, April 8.
Need a bit of inspiration to pull your Royal Enfield motorcycle out of the garage and ride this Sunday, April 8?

Spend a moment reading the "Why I Ride" stories on Royal Enfield's "One Ride" website. You'll feel inspired to ride along, at least in spirit.

There are official "One Ride" events planned in the United States Sunday, but it's a big country and you probably don't live near Marne, Iowa or Enfield (appropriate location) Connecticut.

Go to the One Ride website for locations. You'll find Fort Worth, Texas; Enfield, Conn.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Neptune, N.J.; Depew, N.Y.; Marne, Iowa; Dulles, Va.; El Paso, Texas; and Minneapolis, Minn.

Don't worry if there's nothing near you.

Just read the "Why I Ride" stories (you can even add your own) and you'll realize you don't need company to get out and experience your Royal Enfield.

Writers mention the freedom, the focus, the renewal and the exhilaration that come with riding any motorcycle.

Royal Enfield owners will recognize the sense of connectivity that riders express about riding Royal Enfield motorcycles. For a variety of reasons — some admittedly rueful — you don't thoughtlessly throw a leg over a Royal Enfield.

Like it or not, you will be engaged.

According to Royal Enfield:

"One Ride is the largest motorcycle community ride across the world. The theme for this year’s ride is Ride as One, which aligns with Royal Enfield’s global philosophy of promoting exploration and camaraderie among the leisure motorcycling community across the world.

"Not only will enthusiasts in North America be riding as one, but riders in more than 28 countries will be participating as well. A great unifier, One Ride sees motorcycling enthusiasts of all ages from diverse regions and social identities come together each year on this day for a ride that is inclusive and fiercely unique."

I'm going for the "fiercely unique" part. My Royal Enfield Bullet and I will be out there Sunday, almost certainly by ourselves. If you spot us, give us a wave. We'll be watching for you.
