Royal Enfield motor powers Harley style bobber

What's a Royal Enfield motor doing in a Harley-Davidson frame?
Presented for your consideration: a Royal Enfield Bullet motor in a Harley-Davidson frame, with bobbed fender, ape-hanger handlebars, peanut tank, springer forks and custom pinstriping.

It's for sale on CraigsList in the San Francisco Bay area, with an asking price of $4,500.

I like the fancy pedal kick starter.
The seller calls it a "custom, one of a kind bobber," and it surely is.

The frame is a 1966 Harley part, he writes. Paint is flat black and the rims are powder coated.

The ad was pointed out to me by reader David Blankenhorn who found it, he swears, while looking for something else.

Springer front forks.

Indian blanket covers seat.

Pinstriping on tank.

  1. Were i looking for something like this…I wouldn't admit it in public.
Were I buy to it and ride it home I'd wear a full face helmet with a dark visor…the equivalent of a brown paper bag over my head…and I'd keep
the garage door shut until I'd gotten it dismantled ;-)
